Hole Inspection
The quality of the borehole wall after drilling directly affects the reliability of electroplating. Hole inspection is carried out by examining the state of the hole wall through optical or electron microscopy, including roughness, Nail Heading, Resin Smear, and Fiber Protrusion. Unqualified hole walls lead to poor adhesion of electroplated copper, resulting in hole wall separation (Barrel Crack) during thermal stress testing or use.
