AOI - Inner Layer

Catch Defects Before They Are Buried

An inner-layer defect caught before lamination costs a single core - perhaps $5 in material and process. The same defect buried inside a 12-layer board costs the entire panel - $200 or more. Every etched inner-layer core is scanned against Gerber data. Defects as small as 15um are flagged: shorts, opens, pattern deviations, residual copper. Defective cores are repaired or scrapped - they never enter the lamination book.

10 Stations: Capacity and Redundancy

Ten AOI stations inspect inner layers at the same rate they are produced by our DES lines - zero backlog. Each station is calibrated daily against a golden panel with known programmed defects. The station count also provides redundancy: maintenance on one station never slows production.
