The Final Coating
Panels pass through chemical baths in sequence: cleaner, micro-etch, catalyst, electroless nickel (3-7um), immersion gold (0.05-0.12um). The gold prevents nickel oxidation and provides an excellent solderable surface with years of shelf life. Thickness verified by XRF on every panel. The finish that defines the board's assembly compatibility and storage life.
