The Qorvo QPB0066 variable gain amplifier exhibits high linearity throughout its gain control range, and its noise figure (NF) is as low as 4.3 dB at its maximum gain state. The gain of the QPB0066 amplifier is controlled by a dual-channel 6-bit digital step attenuator, which is programmed via a 12-bit serial peripheral interface (SPI). The QPB0066 is packaged in a small 6.0mm x 6.0mm leadless laminate multi-chip module (MCM) with plated-through holes for heat dissipation, achieving ultra-low thermal resistance. This module is simple and easy to use, requiring only a few external DC modules and RF chokes.
