QPL9503 is a planar gain, high linearity, ultra-low noise amplifier, featuring a 2 x 2 mm small surface-mount package. QPL9503 offers 2 dB (peak-to-peak) gain flatness over a wide bandwidth from 3 to 6 GHz. At 5.5 GHz, the QPL9503 amplifier typically provides a gain of 21.6 dB, with +35.5 dBm OIP3 at a 56 mA bias setting, and a 0.95 dB noise figure. QPL9503 can be biased from a single positive power supply of 3.3 to 5 volts. QPL9503 is packaged in an industry-standard 2 x 2 mm package that complies with green/RoHS standards.
The QPL9503 adopts a high-performance E-pHEMT process for internal matching. It can be operated with a single positive power supply using only five external components: an external RF choke coil and blocking/bypass capacitor, as well as a bias resistor connected to pin 1. This LNA integrates a shutdown bias capability, allowing for operation in TDD applications.
The QPL9503 has been optimized for linear performance in the 3 to 6 GHz frequency band, but it can operate below 600 MHz.
