Note: The M-FIAM series is divided into four main series: 3, 5, 7, and 9. There are also MVA-FIAM derivative versions and customized versions. All models are officially released models by VICOR, with core parameters and transient compliance standards marked. Among them, Active is a valid model that is currently on sale, while limited supply refers to models that can be purchased through certain channels. Customized versions require exclusive contact with the official VICOR.
Differences between the Four Core Series (Quick Differentiation)
1. • M-FIAM3 series: Designed for 300V high voltage input, with an output current of 3A, it is compatible with Maxi, Mini, and Micro DC-DC converters and VI Chip modules with 300V input. Transient compliance is mainly based on MIL-STD-704 [1][5][6]
2. • M-FIAM5 series: Adapted to 24/28V input (14-36V), output current 20A, only supports MIL-STD-704 single transient protection standard, mainly for basic military filtering protection [2][6]
3. • M-FIAM7 series: Derived from MVA-FIAM, focusing on power line filtering, mostly chassis mounting or through-hole soldering, some models have limited supply, suitable for military power line protection scenarios [3]
4. • M-FIAM9 series: Adapted to 24/28V input (10-36V), output current 18A, supports MIL-STD-704 and MIL-STD-1275 dual transient protection standards, suitable for complex vehicle and shipboard scenarios [4][6]
Description:Suitable for harsh environments such as aerospace, vehicle-mounted and shipborne, and meets the MIL-STD-810 military environmental standard [2][6]
Parameter name:EMI filtering standards
Specifications (General):MIL-STD-461E
Description:Meets conducted interference (CE) and conducted sensitivity (CS) requirements, and is compatible with military electromagnetic compatibility requirements [1][6]
Description:Standardized pin layout, compatible with VICOR Maxi/Mini/Micro DC-DC converters and VIPAC power system integration [2] [5]
Parameter name:Pin Material
Specifications (General):Tin-lead and RoHS gold plating are available.
Description:The 3 series is mostly RoHS gold-plated/tin-lead plated, while the 5/9 series is usually tin-lead plated, with some models supporting RoHS gold plating [1][5]
